Who wants to be a watchman when no one listens? The Almighty and glorious God not only messed up Ezekiel's comfortable future as a priest, but made him a prophet and a watchman. It is one thing to speak, or be silent when one is simply a prophet, but a totally different thing when that prophet is a watchman. He is then accountable for giving the warning.

The second question is why does God insist on warning fools, when he and everyone else knows that they will not listen. Does he just want to make the life of prophets and fools difficult, or is there a reason for continuing to speak to people who will not listen?

Be encouraged, and endure, because He is the Lord.
