Matthew concludes Chapter 4 by filling the last of the credentials required for Jesus ministry, and then he lays out the final result of following the teaching of Jesus.
When all is said and done, we should all be blessed in every area. But, more often than not we find ourselves troubled. By looking at the opposites of Blessed, we understand them better. As Paul stated with the Fruit of the Spirit, being blessed is the work of God in our lives. Jesus also begins with being "poor in Spirit" signifying the same thing.
May you be challenged to be more blessed than troubled.
